    Miller International Airport (MFE)

    The Miller International Airport has emerged as a regional air transportation center serving the third fastest growing metropolitan area in the U.S. Frequent daily flights to major air transportation hubs in Houston, Dallas, Memphis, Las Vegas, Orlando and Mexico City provide easy access to any destination in the world. McAllen is serviced by American, Allegiant, Continental and Delta. Southwest services are in nearby Harlingen, 45 miles east of McAllen.

    Driving Here and There

    Valley highways are safe, scenic, plentiful, and convenient. US Highway 83, connecting the Valley to West Texas. Business 83 or “Old 83” runs parallel to EXP 83 winding through the downtown areas of all of the cities; as a matter of fact, Old 83 is often called the “Main Street of the Valley.”

    US 281 extends north past Edinburg and has an interchange in Pharr that connects to EXP 83. Business 281 runs south through Pharr and “Ts” off east and west where it is known as Military Highway.
